The Studio is moving to 1720 Madison Ave NE Mpls! This is the Casket Arts Carriage House. Studio is #204. I will be moving in June and hope to be resuming classes in July. To help with the move contact me via email, studio time is being offered as comp time!

I am Kirk Sklar, I have been operating Metal Heart Jewelry since 2007, and I have been a teacher since 1995. I have a masters degree in fine arts and a bachelors degree in art history. My teaching experience includes several years at craft centers, high schools, and colleges.

Jewelers' saw blades

Remember that saw blades come in 17 sizes from #8 to 8/0. If you are having trouble sawing, perhaps you need to switch blades. As the metal you are cutting gets thinner, you will need a finer blade. Also fine blades can be used on very thick metal, but coarse blades do not do well on thin metal. Happy sawing!
