What are classes like? Classes at Metal Heart
Jewelry are designed to: give you solid training in jewelrymaking methods, encourage you to try new things, demystify the
creative process, and give you many opportunities to make your own creative choices. Working in this way allows you to make
the type of jewelry that you want to make.
How long is a class? A day class meets once a week for upto
six weeks. Each meeting is three hours. Evening classes meet every other week, three hours a night, usually three nights per
class.
Can I take more than one class? Yes, you may take as many classes as you like simultaneouly, or consecuitively.
Will I learn new things each class? Yes, classes are designed to build on the information from the previous
class.
Can I start in the middle of a class? Yes, class sizes are small, and it's no problem to start
in mid session.
How many pieces of jewelry will I make in a class? In a day class, meeting six times it is
possible to make four or five projects.
What should I bring to class? Eye protection, a sketchbook, a dust
mask, a small plastic box, materials fee
What should I wear in the studio? Shoes that cover your entire foot
(no sandels or flip flops), long hair tied back, eye protection
